The Exploratorium offers many exhibits that allow visors to explore science and the human perception. Visitors can learn on diffrent levels how things work and why they work the way they do. Some of the exhibits demistnrates how what we see is subjective and everybody precives the world diffrently.
Light carries information that helps our eyes and brians construct the world around us. So when someone were to find somthing entertaining or somthing to occupy their mind its really just light being transferd into shapes, object and images that they find appeiling. So to create a design that would be engageing it would have to be attractive to what certian users precvie to be enterntinating for their reality.
A effective design has to delve into the reptialian being in the user and do the thinking for a nich target audince. It would have to catert to their need like a mother cares for its child telling them "everything is going to be ok", as long as your using my product.

Interaction Design for Entertainment
Entertainment or the agreeable occupation of the mind has many different variations and can take many different forms. In this class we discuss what keep a person engaged and interacting with one piece of the internet. This to can also have many different variations and come in many different forms depending on the target audience and the particular type of content conveyed. Since there are so many differentiations of what people might find entertaining on the internet leads one to believe that entertainment will always be left open to interpretation and objectification.
I feel that what a person might find on the internet as entertaining can be broken down into two simple categories. The first being substance i.e information or content and the second would be aesthetic. Having good substance or a wealth of information will most likely keep and use engaged, even if for only a quick dose of knowledge, they will undoubtedly be back for more. That is why google and wikipedia attract millions of users, not for their trendy design but for the subsatnce they provide.
